Fake smiles, made up profiles, manipulated food pics and display happiness. Eliza Köles stands up against all of these things. The debut album in which Eliza sings jazz, funk and electroswing songs is going to be released soon. The song Fake already has a video highlighting world problems of dating websites.
In the video of Fake Eliza plays three different girls who try to act to get boyfriends on dating applications. The outcome is fatally unsuccessful even after aggressively pursuing their goals.
- I was sitting at home without any make-up and it came to my mind that if someone would see me like this then he would immediately unfriend me on facebook. Of course this is just a joke in some way but it’s the idea behind the song Fake. What we see in the media usually has barely nothing to do with real life. On the screen everyone has charming and perfect life with unproblematic family, lots of friends, beautiful home, gourmet food on the table but in most of the cases these don’t even come as dreams for some. Behind these fake pictures lurk the real people with struggles and loneliness. After all of this manipulation it’s hard to see our real personality. In the video I play three roles of girls trying to get boyfriends via dating apps. They try so hard that they lie and build up a totally fake personality what leads to failing every time. With this I encourage everyone to find their real self because it’s time for some honesty.
